Standardized Episodes of Care (SEOC) is a healthcare management tool that outlines standardized and evidence-based treatment protocols for various medical conditions. The VA aims to improve patient outcomes, reduce costs, and enhance the overall quality of care by streamlining clinical decision-making and billing processes.
As a Product Designer, I led the design efforts for the SEOC platform, conducting user research to understand the needs and pain points of the data entry professionals (Authors Coders, Publishers) and viewers/ consumers of this data.
I developed a design concept, created a design language, and designed the user interface, including the design library based on the USWDS, search function, and task management workflow tools.
I conducted usability testing, gathered feedback, and iterated on the design to ensure it was user-friendly and effective.
My role involved communicating design decisions, developing design documentation and prototyping for testing.
